Online Payment Policy Tau Game Lodge requires a 50%
non-refundable deposit to guarantee an online booking. The balance for the
accommodation (as well as any extras) is payable on departure from the
lodge.
Reservations for Multiple rooms
In order to avoid confusion and to obtain an accurate quotation we
kindly request that for reservations involving more than 2 rooms and/or
including children of various ages (i.e. infants and children BELOW the age
of 6, as well as requests for the family units), for you to rather use the
BOOKING REQUEST facility on our website.
1. Room sharing and Child Policy
(child = below the age of 12)
- The chalets are suitable for 2 adults only and 3 adults per room are
not accepted.
- 2 adults and 1 child per room is accepted
- 2 adults and 1 child and 1 infant per room is accepted
- 2 adults and 2 children per room is not accepted in standard rooms
We do have 2 family units
- 2 children per room is accepted
- 3 children per room is accepted
- 4 children per room is not accepted
1.1 Pricing Structure for children
- Infants 0 - 2 years
Stay free of charge in a cot not allowed on safaris
- Children 3 5 years, sharing with 1 or 2 adults:
Pay R 100.- on extra bed in room not allowed on
adult safaris.
- Children 6 11 years, sharing with 1 or 2 adults:
Pay 50% of the adult rate.
- 2 Children 6 11 years, occupying their own room
Pay 50% of the adult rate.
- 1 Child 6 11 years, occupying his/her own room
Pays the full adult rate.
- Children 12 years and over
Pay the full adult rate.
1.2 General issues Relating to Children
- Children 6 to 11 years of age are accommodated on the adult game
drives, subject to the discretion of Lodge Management.
- Child minders are available in the evenings as well as during the game
drives, at a nominal charge and subject to the following conditions:
- Child minders are booked on arrival at the lodge
- Child minder fees are payable at the lodge on departure.
- Distances between rooms will be taken into consideration when booking
children into their own room.
- A short kiddies safari will be offered after breakfast.
Early dinners for children can be arranged with the lodge caterer
2. Additional Levies
- A Conservation levy is charged by the North West Parksboard on
entering Madikwe Game Reserve, the applicable per person charge is printed
on the confirmation voucher and is collected by Tau Game Lodge on behalf
of the N.W.P.
- A Government Bed levy is charged per person per night and is due for
payment on check-out.
